CS - QUIZ COMPETITION
 
Rules and Regulations


1. Only under-graduate students can apply for this competition

2. A team will consist of 3 (three) members.

3. Individuals and alumni cannot participate.

4. Maximum of 2 (two) teams can represent an institute/university.

5. The topics for the quiz are as follows

a. Software Engineering

b. Operating Systems

c. Object Oriented Programming

d. Computer Networks & Telecommunication

e. Computer Architecture

6. The competition is divided into two parts.

a. 1st part will consist of 5 rounds (one for every category) and total of 4 questions will be asked from each team, 1 from each individual and 1 for the whole team.

b. Top 3 teams will go to the next part of the quiz.

7. The winner will be selected from the three teams participating in the 2nd part.

8. The questions will be asked in each round as follows from the following categories:
Round 1: Object Oriented Programming
Round 2: Operating Systems
Round 3: Computer Networks and Telecommunication
Round 4: Software Engineering
Round 5: Computer Architecture

9. Second part will consist of 3 rounds. The winner will be selected from these 3 teams. In each round one question will be asked from each member from a category of his/her choice. Two questions of the remaining categories will be asked from the team. The teams will be graded according to the results of these rounds.

10. Decision of judges will be final and unchallengeable.

11. In case of a draw, random questions will be asked until a team breaks through as a winner.

12. Evaluation criteria will not be disclosed before the competition.

13. Any team can be disqualified without giving any reason.

14. IEEE-NUCES/NUCES-ACM team members can't participate in the competitions.

15. In all matters concerning the competition, the decision of IEEE-NUCES/NUCES-ACM will be final and binding on all concerned.

16. IEEE-NUCES/NUCES-ACM reserve the right to change any of the above-mentioned rules without prior notification.
